In order to originate any residential loan, 1-4 units, You must pass the stringent background checks and also the National Mortgage Exam with the State component as well. Yearly continuing education that is sent by the course provider to the NMLS is also a requirement in order to maintain active licensing. Unlike the loan officers are employed the Federal Insured Banks who do not have to have to take pre-licensing education or take exams. They are simply registered.
In addition to reverse mortgages, I also originate Veteran Loans,(Certifed Military Home Specialist) Purchase Loans, Refinance and Debt Consolidation L among many others that the Retail Big Banks are unable to provide and turn down.
